What We Do
Architecture Kids delivers creative architecture and design workshops for children and young people, working with schools, groups, and individuals in person and online.

Our workshops are built around open-ended architectural projects that encourage curiosity, exploration, and hands-on making. Drawing on architectural thinking, we introduce students to creative processes that balance imagination, constraints, and practical decision-making.

We believe creativity grows when students are given clear structure, supportive guidance, and the freedom to explore ideas without pressure to reach a single 'right' answer. Our role is to create the conditions in which young people feel confident to think, test, and refine ideas — and to support teachers with thoughtfully designed, engaging learning experiences.

Benefits for Students
Students experience a practical, hands-on alternative to traditional classroom learning.

Through open-ended design projects, they are encouraged to experiment, take creative risks, and develop ideas in their own way - without fear of getting it 'wrong'.
This approach helps students build confidence in their thinking, strengthen problem-solving skills, and become more comfortable working through uncertainty with curiosity rather than hesitation.

By making, testing, and refining ideas, students develop creative resilience, fine motor skills, and a genuine sense of pride in what they create - often discovering abilities they didn’t realise they had.

Benefits for Schools
Our workshops align with the National Curriculum and support cross-curricular learning by using architecture to connect subjects such as art, design technology, maths, science, and humanities.

Teachers gain a structured yet flexible approach to creativity that engages a wide range of learners, including those who may struggle with more traditional teaching methods.

Workshops encourage high levels of student engagement, collaboration, and independent thinking, helping classrooms feel more focused, inclusive, and positive.

Schools benefit from a well-planned, low-pressure creative experience that complements existing teaching while supporting broader aims around confidence, wellbeing, and lifelong learning.
