Chair-ish Creativity
Children at Furzedown Primary School participated in a series of dynamic workshops where they designed and built chairs tailored to their unique ergonomic needs and purposes. The process involved writing narratives, creating drawings, and constructing models, fostering a holistic approach to design. This hands-on project was crucial as it allowed students to merge creativity with functionality, addressing personal and practical requirements.
The workshops highlighted the importance of creativity in education as something to cherish, or ‘chair-ish’ even.
