Playground Design Challenge

Children at Furzedown Primary School took on an exciting challenge to design their ideal playgrounds.  Playgrounds are usually spaces designed FOR children, but designed BY adults!  In this project the kids got to say what they really wanted, and express it through the medium of design! The process encouraged the students to develop their proposals by experimenting with drawings, models, and prototypes, reflecting their personal interests and aspirations. The importance of this work lies in giving children a voice in designing spaces for them, fostering a sense of ownership and connection to their environment.
