Creative architecture workshops for curious minds aged 7–18 at the Royal Institution:
We’re thrilled to be running four creative holiday workshops at the Royal Institution this summer!
🪴 Monday 28 July – Designing for Plants
🔵 Tuesday 29 July – Build Like Bucky
These hands-on sessions are perfect for curious young minds aged 7 to 18. Each one explores architecture, design, nature, and structure in playful and powerful ways.
🌱 Designing for Plants is a joyful, hands-on workshop where the architect is in charge—and the client has roots! Blending science, citizenship, and creativity, this session invites students to design imaginative, functional habitats for plants while thinking like problem-solvers and caretakers of the natural world.
🔺 Build Like Bucky is inspired by the work of Buckminster Fuller. This dynamic workshop stretches spatial thinking, geometry skills, and design confidence. From tetrahedrons to tensegrities, students will explore how strong structures can be light, flexible—and surprisingly fun to build!
If you know any budding young designers, please feel free to share. We’d love to see you there!
